Ancient Cypress

This wood comes from ancient cypress trees (easily over 1,000 years old) which were cut for lumber in the early 1900s and shipped via waterways to lumber mills. Along the way, logs sank in the rivers of Florida and these “sinker logs” have acquired color and shine from the water and white sands of the area. Heartwood is a lovely gold, and sapwood has a range of blues, grays, greens, and natural glitter.
