Weru Burl

Our Weru Burl is sold stabilized. Weru burl is an Asian product similar in pattern to afzelia burl. This would has tremendous variation in color and pattern from tight and consistent burl eyes to swirling designs of browns, reds, greens, golds and silvers. It finishes with a lovely sheen and a three-dimensional pattern due to the checks of the wood grain. A word of caution: weru burl eyes inherently contain areas with checking and holes. Stabilizing fluid will not fill all of these holes and many internal to the block are not see until the wood is cut or shaped. These holes are easily filled with sawdust/CA glue or with the resin of your choice, but this is not a wood to give a smooth finish without help on your part.
