Myall

Our myall is sold unstabilized, as stabilization is not necessary. Myall, a dense Australian hardwood, features dark wood with bright highlights, similar to gidgee. Figuring is generally curly, blistered or a combination. This wood is ideal for knife handles and turning. As with many naturally dense and woods, myall does have some tendency to develop micro-cracks before being mounted. Such cracks can be repaired by filling with resin or with a mixture of sawdust and water-thin CA glue.
